A West Virginia native and graduate of Concord College she holds a BA in Communication Arts with double emphasis in Theatre and Broadcasting and Journalism. Together with her husband Lonnie, she runs Ningen Manga Productions, focusing on marketing, producing, and financial aspects. Besides acting in Women’s Studies and several other short films in the area, she’s worked with various DC area theatres including INKwell, Venus Theatre, and Landless Theatre Company. Melisa Breiner-Sanders- Beth:
Melisa Breiner-Sanders is a Northern Virginia native, Georgetown graduate
and New York City based actor. She has stared in several feature length
independent films including Women's Studies, Conversations, and Holler Creek
Canyon. Melisa has appeared on One Life To Live and stared in several
webseries including The Toy Collector and Pornocracy. Theatre credits
include As You Like It, God Bless You, Mister Scrooge!, Little Bird, Becket,
The Women, Vinegar Tom, The Laramie Project and more. Melisa is an
associate artist with Cry Havoc Theatre Company (www.CryHavocCompany.org),
company member of the online sketch group Awkward Johnsons, founded her own
online sketch comedy group RandomBS and performs sketch live in NYC with

Laura Bloechl- Iris:
Laura Bloechl grew up in Niceville, Florida and graduated from the
University of Colorado. She currently lives in Chicago where she studies

James Radack - Zack:
James is a Washington, DC-based theatre and film actor. Women's Studies marks his third collaboration with Ningen Manga Productions. James played the Boogeyman in Under the Bed and Ian in Posi+ive, developed for the 2006 and 2007 48 Hour Film Projects respectively. DC stage credits include Constellation Theatre: Oresteia; Pabst and Popcorn Hour: The Christmas Show; The Studio Theatre: Take Me Out (u/s); and Capital Fringe Festival: Thinking Under the Influence (2006) and Iconicity (2008). James received his training at The Studio Theatre Acting Conservatory.
