WHO AM I?

Just a zany kind of dude with an over-active imagination and a desire to make dreams into moving pictures. I’ve made short films that have screened at the Fantasia International Film Festival, Temecula Valley Film Festival, Eerie Horror Film Festival, and West Chester Shorts Film Festival among others. My first feature length film, Women’s Studies, was distributed nationally by R2 Films. I’ve worked in “The DMV” as an independent filmmaker for ten years on a variety of different projects; short films, web series, corporate training videos, narrative features. You name it. My latest feature film, The Last of the Manson Girls, is currently touring the festival circuit. For what it’s worth, I hold an MFA in Film & Electronic Media from American University. If any of this sounds interesting, take a look around.

WHAT IS
NINGEN MANGA?

人間 (ningen) 漫画 (manga)

“Ningen Manga” is an invented phrase that combines the Japanese words for “human” (ningen) and “cartoon” (manga). It was a nickname given to me from some friends in undergrad.

Philosophically, Ningen Manga is the place where reality and perception meet, where the exaggerated is forced to deal with the grounded, and where the imagination and the heart find common ground. My stories are often about fantastic things happening to ordinary people. Strange? yes. But perhaps beautiful too.
